“Rare and beautiful retreat space that feels both luxurious and soulful.”

Mosslight Retreat felt like discovering a hidden sanctuary in the forest, quiet, beautiful, intentional, and deeply connected to nature. As functional medicine doctors and founders of Rhea Teachings, Dr. Harter and I were searching for a space that could hold women in a way that felt grounding and inspiring. Mosslight was the perfect setting for our gatherings centered around botanical medicine, ancient wisdom, movement, sound healing, full moon circles, and meaningful connection.
The home itself is stunning, with thoughtful attention to every detail and a feeling that everything has been carefully considered. The grounds are lush, private, and expansive, the kind of place that invites you to slow down, wander, reflect, and reconnect. What makes Mosslight even more remarkable is its location. Close to Seattle, the airport, and the freeway, yet once you arrive, you feel a million miles away in a private forest sanctuary. A rare and beautiful retreat space that feels both luxurious and soulful at the same time.

Rachel’s meditation class is unlike any I’ve experienced. What sets it apart is the beautiful balance between gentle guidance and spacious silence. She thoughtfully leads you into the meditation, and then offers a full 20 minutes of quiet stillness where you can truly go inward and drop deep.
As someone new to meditation, I’ve found this structure incredibly supportive. It feels both accessible and profound. The guided portion helps me settle, and the silent time allows for a deeper experience than I expected.

I recently attended a retreat at Mosslight and it was an incredible experience. Tucked away in the trees, it truly feels like an escape into the arms of the forest😊. It’s peaceful, intimate, and beautifully designed for reflection.
The meditation/new moon workshop was thoughtful and welcoming for all levels. Rachel (she’s truly AMAZING!!) created a warm and supportive environment, and the setting made it easy to slow down and really be present. I especially loved the group meditation, which felt powerful in such a serene space.
Another highlight was the energy healing component. It added a restorative dimension to the retreat and helped deepen the overall experience.
If you’re looking for a small, intentional boutique retreat near Seattle that blends yoga, group meditation, and energy healing in a tranquil forest setting, Mosslight is truly a hidden gem. I left feeling refreshed, centered, and grateful for the experience.

I cannot recommend the Mosslight Retreat enough! I recently rented the space for a full-day grief retreat, and we all had such a beautiful and healing experience. The house is spotless, beautifully decorated, and incredibly welcoming. We were able to prepare a full lunch and offer yoga, meditation, dance and sharing circles. The dining room has a big table that comfortably seated 10 and allowed for a warm gathering with lots of conversation and intimate sharing. This retreat also sits at the foot of Tiger Mountain forest and we were able to enjoy a calming walk along the trail just behind the house.
The yoga room was especially lovely, filled with natural light and overlooking the trees. All the props we needed for yoga and meditation were provided. Rachel was wonderful to work with. She had the space prepared with everything we needed and was quick to respond to any questions before and during the retreat. Every participant found this retreat center to be a peaceful, restorative, and a deeply nourishing place to reconnect with themselves and with nature.

We had a great stay at this home! Close enough to Seattle/Bellevue but with great access to nature and outdoor activities. Rachel was easy to communicate with, the house was recently remodeled with very tasteful updates. The location is amazing. Downtown Issaquah is cute and close, and it’s easy to get to Seattle and Bellevue.
We’d love to come back during the summer since this property has such great access to outdoor experiences including hiking/walking trails right out the back door! The house was very comfortable and I used the yoga space for morning stretching. My son really wanted to go snowboarding which would have been easy with close proximity to the passes but we didn’t have time. We would definitely stay again! Thanks Rachel for a great stay.
